Cork floors

In the southern countries of the western Mediterranean - Spain, Portugal, Greece, parts of Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and southern France - grow the cork oak (Quercus Suber L), whose bark has a unique perforated structure. Each cubic centimetre contains 30 to 42 million!!! pores. This makes cork the warmest flooring material and therefore the favourite among people who prefer to walk barefoot at home, and it is the best flooring for bedrooms and children's rooms. Recently, cork floors have also been increasingly installed in bathrooms, saving the cost of underfloor heating. Cork floors are also anti-allergenic, so they are best for allergy and asthma sufferers.
