Threshold profiles

Threshold profiles are mainly used to create expansion joints in floating floorings such as laminate, parquet, vinyl and cork floors. The installation of expansion joints is very important as the above floorings expand and contract with humidity and temperature, thus putting stress and strain on the 'click' joints of these materials. If a expansion joint is not created, floor coverings may open up "click" joints or crack under stress during the change of seasons. But this is not the only use for profiles. They are also used when the newly laid flooring is higher or lower than the adjacent flooring. In this case, transition profiles are used. End profiles are also used in areas where skirting cannot be applied, such as large display windows that are floor level. Step or stair profiles are used less frequently. Note that many of these profiles are produced to match the flooring shade and have no visible screw points. This type of profile adds a pleasant sense of finishing to the interior.
